Does anyone have a source for a 5x150 steel wheel, for use as a spare for an LX570? ...............17 inch?

You can fit a 16" wheel on an LX570?! I thought their brake calipers required at least a 17" or 18" wheel. I know Toyota sells 17" wheels for the 200 GX and GX-R spec. I'm sure you can get a special order or order abroad. I have 6 extra 17" 200 series wheels in a container here with me. Not that those will do you any good.

Correct, must be 17" or larger. There is a Toyota 17" steelie available from overseas, but the 18" base model tundra steelie is readily available in USA.

I am down for that send me a pic.

CORRECT TYPO.......17 inch wheels not 16.

Corrected in intro to the thread.

I have some ICON 17 inch wheels now, they are nice, but wanting to go back to factory size tire. Now is 285 75 17 and they rub. Really wanting a spare that will fit the current tire size.

I bought some of the “bullet hole” style tundra steel wheels from Hubcap Haven years ago. Ran them for quite a while and loved them. They weren’t super expensive, and they come in the same size, width and offset as the factory wheels on my 2015. I refinished them in black prior to installing and ran them without the center/hub caps.

that looks killer, i suppose they are 265 75 18?

I did find some steel tundra 5 spoke on bay, afterall it is just for a spare. The wheels on there now are ICON, which is supposed to be a good brand, so dont want to get rid of them.

I like your wheel better that the 5 spoke wheel for sure

275/70/18, good versatile size. Worth noting that I was running these with the spidertrax 1.25in spacers

I agree with you on the different steel wheel styles, this variation is the better of the two

Search Facebook marketplace for the 18" Tundra Steelies, often I see full sets for $100 or so especially the 5 spoke ones.
As a spare, you can find a 18" tire that is very close in diameter to your 17s and it'll work fine.

Yeah I do not plan to wheel it, and although Spydertrax is king, I did not want spacers. Will 265s rub? mu 285s with the icon do.

Do you have a source?

or for 18 tundra steel?
ToyoDIY.com - https://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_G_2017_TOYOTA_LAND+CRUISER_VDJ200L-GNMAZ_4103.html Has them available in 3 different steel types.

You can find them at Partsouq: https://rb.gy/9en7sm. Part# should be 42601 Type F, G or H. Type H is the one that has the round holes. My GX-R below has either type F or G. I love em. Don't get banged up easily, don't get the typical aluminum corrosion, and these steelies can easily be resprayed or put on a machine to gently correct their shape should they get out of round on the interior portion of the wheel. I won't run anything other than Toyota wheels. The aftermarket steelies just don't compare.

Knowing what I know now, I personally would be looking for A) 285/65/18s on factory wheels, with no spacers or B) lower offset 17 inch wheels from a reputable company with 285/70s, again with no spacers

Steel wheels are nice because they are cheap and if you are offroading, they provide peace of mind. The downside is that they are very heavy, and will negatively impact most aspects of on road performance, such as acceleration, braking and gas mileage. If you aren’t going to go offroad through I would stick to factory 18s and just go up to 285/65 tires.

YMMV

Are steelies available in 18"? Would love to pick up a cheap set for my winter tires instead of swapping tires each fall/spring.
