I used a 2-1/8" socket, nothing fancy. I think some are too thick-walled, this was I think a Harbor Freight one. Craftsman works also. If you haven't read all the writeups on this job, they'll save you a ton of time and aggravation.

Does Slee sell the rear OTC socket?

I got one from my friendly neighborhood SnapOn dealer. Ask for the Bluepoint version. Thinner wall and a whole lot cheaper than the SnapOn branded one. I think it was something under $30 and he had it in the truck.

I've bought a few things from him and have been very happy with the tool quality. The price... for some tools well worth it.

They sell a three piece Bluepoint kit that has two flipable sockets and a short extension. They work on pretty much any lug nut on any vehicle. Just put a breaker bar on them and it makes tire remove a very quick process. Very handy to have in the mobile tool box.
