Ward, the Harrop E-locker is the best!!! Love it. Love not having air lines or needing a compressor. Plus you can't imagine how many conversations I've started with "Hi my name is Ben, and my BJ74 has a Harrop E-locker in the rear"
:)
Get you a lot of dates with the ladies? :)

I'm a taken man. It is nice that all my wife likes to do is fetch me beers and talk about land cruisers! ;)

He had done 70-series bumpers but none with the integrated opening mechanism. He played around with it for a bit, but it really works great. I really appreciated his willingness to work with someone like me who wanted to have a hand in designing the product he was making!

Good to know. Conundrum solved :D

Next up are final welds, trim, struts, latch and powder coat. Luke will ship with accessories to Torfab for installation.

We are going with tire mount on drivers side and 2 can gas rack on passenger side.

Cool gear...

i love the lines on that thing. Nice work. Wished I lived closer to get a 77 template for him.

Are you sure they are different?

Yes there are some quarter panel differences. Also the cross member is different between the two trucks (the one that was cut off) but I don't know if that would interfere with the storage box built into the body (factory)

Moab or Rubicon are good excuses to do the run south..;)

My ignorance is legend.... :)

The bumper arrived and got installed. It is everything we hoped for. Luke @4x4labs and the crew at 4x4 Labs did a grand job. We will be at Cruise Moab with the Torfab crew, so stop by their camp/booth and take a look if you like.

There are now a few good options out there for the back of your truck, but Luke's gear is built like a brick outhouse and reasonably priced. The new 7X Series model is being shipped as finished bumpers and DIY kits. Last I heard, Luke has sold quite a few.... :)

The spindle caps obstruct the reverse light on my truck so we added two Roundeyes LED lights below the bumper and they really finish off the build.

I could not be happier with this project and product. The added weight settled in the suspension just right and I have everything I need at the back of the truck.

Will report from the road - hope to see you at Moab.

Thanks Steve. With all the 70 Series coming in, we need options. Thanks for helping to grow the community.

That is my only concern with the bumper covering up lights. For me I believe it's my signal lights....

With new lenses you can move the signal lights up the stack, yes?

That is true.
Some knockoff rigid pod LEDs would make a good backup light also. They make the flush mounts also that would look good too.
