Where the light wires enter the wheel well, in between the little reflector and the sheet metal cup for the taillight assembly:

Where my wires enter the top of the wheel well, into the rear cab, where they connect into the stock harness wrires.
It's been a long time since I did this - I don't remember now why I put them through that captured nut. Maybe the bolt was already broken/missing? You could also go through that existing grommet in the lower left of the photo:

Couple of notes:
You want to run the wires very near the pivot point of the basket swing-arm, so that the basket can swing fully without stretching or stressing the wires.
I also ran some coax for a cb antenna (that mounts on the lip of the basket - you can see the mount in the first photo) through the same plastic conduit and routing as the wires. I also did pretty much the same thing, on the other (spare tire) swing-out; ran antenna coax for a ham radio in a similar fashion as this side.
