I was working on the rear suspension of my 60 this weekend and had to loosen the U-bolts on my rear driver's side axle/spring connection. When I loosened the U-bolts they got twisted and bent so they won't torque back down properly and now they need to be replaced. I emailed them for a set of replacements, however I would like to the know the size in case I need to order them from McMaster Carr. My truck is at my dad's so I can't get the size until this weekend, when I need to get the truck drivable.
Can someone with their flip kit please let me know the size u bolts I need?
Also I believe they are hardened steel, can someone please confirm that as well?

Are you talking about the nuts on the end, or the u-bolts? If the u-bolts are tweaked just find a local spring shop and they can make them for you on the spot for pretty cheap. If you're talking about the nuts, they're definitely going to be hardened and you want ones that are long so they have a lot of thread engagement. I don't know the thread pitch or internal size of the nut offhand, but I remember using a 19mm socket on them.

Paging @lcwizard

Dave got back to me and is going to send me replacement bolts. I'm in kind of a time crunch and the truck is at Dad's in NJ so I need a "drop-in" replacement without a bunch of running around.
I need it ready for a trip to ask Jojo a very important question next month and this is pretty much my last time to get it drivable and bring it to my new house.
I finally got the brakes figured out so this is the last outstanding issue besides transferring the registration and plates to Pennsylvania .

Dude, congrats! If I'm being honest I kind of figured this day would come for you two. Happy to hear it's finally happening.

Everyone did haha, and everyone expected it to be in Colorado. We went to the spot I have chosen in college as there is an overlook at the end of the trail. We got stranded on the trail in the snow and had to hike 4 miles down to town and get a phone (No cell service) to call my roommate with his F250 on 35s to pull me out. We never made it to the actual overlook so now I'm taking her to finish the trip.

You told Karen and I that story a few years ago! That's a sharp move taking her to that spot to "finish the trip" and put a ring on it.

This is so great. Let's get this man some new u-bolts or whatever so he can get engaged!! Come on people.

(I hope Jojo doesn't have a Mud account...)

Dave has them boxed and is mailing them this afternoon. We are on track!!!
Nope she doesn't, this is the only place I can freely post cause she can't see my posts. I will probably write a Toyota Trails Article on the whole story start to finish too and surprise her with the article after.
