Heya all. Had my BJ42 for about two months now. It is a 1984 BJ42 hardtop with factory 5 speed and power steering. No rust whatsoever yet all original body.

Been reinstalling the aircon back into my BJ42. Had a few issues, the evaporator outlet pipe was bent and damaged but got that fixed relatively easily. Then getting it back under the dash was a mission unto itself.

However, I am currently using the aircon pump as an air compressor. I have an air receiver bolted into the Roo-bar (speaking of which, hit another roo last night with no damage, you gotta love those bars!). I am going to fit another aircon pump in using a double pulley.

My question, is there anywhere that you can buy off the shelf the double pulleys or will I have to get one machined up specifically for this task?

Cheers. Great site!

I have a sanden compressor on my 40 that has a double pulley so i would assume you shlould be able to get one off the shelf. Keep in mind though the pulley is part of the clutch assembly.

dammit i wish hitting a roo was that common in canada.

I can't see why? They wreck cars, even most cars with roobars will suffer damage. The standard single bar wouldn't save your grill and headlights. My roo bar is a huge lump of steel. The previous roo that I hit it took me nearly an hour to get all the blood and guts off the car with the high pressure cleaner at work. The highway into Kalgoorlie has that many dead roos along the side it looks like a war zone.

Besides, don't you have mooses?

roos, roos and more fuggin roos

Hey metalonmetal, I'm sure we could organise some international trading here. I'll swap ya 1000 head of roo for 100 mooses, or is that meese? I can only imagine the size of a meese bar!
I'm from outback Northern Territory, on a nice hot day (every stinkin day) you can smell that lovely waft of roadkill roos and cane toads all up the highway!
Do u want some cane toads too?:bounce: :bounce2: :bounce: :bounce2: :bounce: :bounce2: :bounce:

What does a Toad Bar look like?
