For "shocks" I ordered 4 Bilstein's, 14" w/resevior

I also ordered a rear disc brake conversion kit , poly body mount kit, and a billet gauge panel and glove box door from JTO

OK, a buddy of mine has been spending every evening helping make some progress, and has been a big help!!! mean while our "better halves" are keeping current on thier favorite TV episodes ! I think they are beginning to realize that entertaining an "AISIN MISTRESS" is a time consuming process.

As of now the motormounts are tack/welded in. Started to redrill all the holes to 5/8" in all the brackets I ordered from BALLISTIC since all the brackets come with 9/16" holes and all my Forged Joints have 5/8" holes this seemed "REDONKULOUS" to me that they dont offer 5/8" holes in thier brackets, when I questioned them about this, I was told that they know whats best !! so whatever

Rear truss is tacked in place, rear LCA axle brackets are tacked in place. These required trimming, I started with a 22.5* bracket and trimmed to get angle I needed, also had to trim tube radius because brackets were for a 3" tube and fj 60 housings are 3.25" ,axle coil spring pads tacked in place, these required the same tube radius trimming and some additional trimming on the pass.side since the spring pad location hits where the housing starts to climb for the third member and turns into a square mounting surface.

2.25 x .375 DOM rear LCA material was cut to length @ 25" , threaded tube inserts tacked in place, giving a starting length of 32"cntr hole to cntr hole, with joints screwed almost all the way in leaving 1/2" of thread showing .LCA's are set in place, I'm using 5/8 x 5" fine thread GRD 8 bolts with williams washers and locking nuts(standard nuts for mock-up).

Went to put upper control arm joints into thier brackets which are attached to the top of the rear truss and they did not even fit in the bracket ,I called BALLISTIC and was informed that they now have a new bracket that fits those joints and that the bracket I have now was a bad design.......really!!!? they told me they would get the new ones to me,but they dont know when they will ship out because the shipping dept is behind

I dont have that long to wait ,so I came up with a different Idea and am making my own UCA mounting bracket!!!

We decided it was time to tackle the t/c crossmember. We removed the old a/a crossmember and began working on our idea

Sorry about the "crash course" posting on this build and lack of detail, I am just trying to bring ya all up to speed on on where I am at on this currently!!:D

We are about halfway there ,so hang on !! and if anyone has any questions about anything I have done ...ask away and I would be happy to answer them!

P.S. This might be a good thing to go grab... ;)

Hey dude - good to see you over here but I think you shoulda started in the Hardcore Section. You don't wanna put awesome  in those one track purist minds'. Get awn to the dovetail updates :bounce2:
Hey thanks LC, I probably should have started it in Hardcore :meh: I guess if the Mods want to move it, then that would be fine ;p, udpdates are coming....

Got front lower links in place
here are some pics of front lower links ,with the 3rd link mock up...

FYI: front lowers and rear lowers turned out being same length, and since I am 3-linking the front, I now have an extra forged joint and bushing allowing me to only have to carry one spare lower .(in case I break or bend one )

mock up pics of steering/draglink/trackbar placement
Steering box I am using is an fj80 box ,factory steering arms will be replaced with All-Pro forged cro-mo high steer arms with cro-mo tierod and draglink.

In these pics I have the draglink attached to the factory TR for mock up since I wont be putting the arms on until I rebuild knuckles,so the actual angle of the DL will be the same as track bar once they are installed.

The track bar in the pictures, is an fj80 oem which I will be cutting one end off and adding an adjustable heim joint and threaded insert to,this will be done on the frame side end of the track bar. Its almost as if this trackbar was made for this as it has a bend in it to clear the frame rail on up travel and a bend in it that clears my upper link mount ,and at the same time met my planned mounting points, and runs parallel to the housing,
