Hey everyone,
I'm looking a 4 speed transmission for a 2F engine. I'm located in SoCal and I'd like to be able to go and pick it up.
thanx
Craig

more info needed
do you need a transfer case?
if you don't need a transfer case, what transfer are you going to use?
there are several versions of the H42 4 speed, that match up to certain transfer cases.

I was going to use the 3 speed t-case that's already there. Or, can I not do that? If not, I guess I'll need one to match up to it.

You should contact Mark (Mark’s Offroad)— he is in Burbank and probably has what you need

For reference you need a Early to 7/80 four speed and sixteen spline output shaft. You with a few parts to work with your transfer case. You could go with a later four speed with split transfer case which is a stronger setup. But then you dealing with adding a hand brake to the transfer which is probably another $500 or finding a rear axle with hand brakes. Or some aftermarket setup or no hand brake at all. Regardless you will need to deal with changing driveline lengths either by modifying yours or sourcing correct drivelines. Then you may be dealing with flange bolt pattern. Back in the mid ninties I modified my drivelines to avoid flange changes on my early 68.

Ok guys, what all will I need. Currently I have a 2F mated to a 3 speed right now. Thanx for your help.

There are a lot of additional little bits to make the transition complete. I have a good stock of the adapter kits and all the extra pieces.

If you leave a VM at the shop with your phone number I will put together a quote when I get in tomorrow.

And I have 4 speed transmissions too. 22 of them.

I have new in box 1980+ four speed transmissions and new ebrake type split case transfer , just in case you consider new units. 3400 usd for new four speed and new transfer (split case ebrake type).
