Hi guys,
I have repaired the rust in the floor of my 79 BJ40 and am sorting out what I need to paint the floor.

I have removed the stock sound deadener from the floor. I was going to use POR15 first then the 3M Body Deadener. However when reading up on it, the specs say it has good reust prevention properties.

If I can save money and leave the POR15 stage, I will.

What have you guys done here? Is there a superior product to the 3M Body Deadener? Also, whatever I use must be brush on. I dont have access to a compressor at the moment!

Cheers

Gabe

Keep in mind that POR-15 should ONLY be used on rough surfaces like rust or sandblasted bare metal. It should never be used on smooth steel or painted surfaces.
