3fe Replacement gas tank option

Looking for opinion or testimonial on a 3fe owner putting the manafre replacement long range fuel tank in their rig. I called manafre and they said it's a-ok, but the installation instructions says it's for 92-97s. When asked they said they weren't sure but no one ever complained, but didn't know if the fitment was 100%. So then I pulled part #'s and the 92-97 tank is a replacement part for 3fe's. The manafre is an investment at $1400 but a serious upgrade to the quality issues of the oem tank. Just looking for what others have done before I throw money into the hole again.

Can't help on the manafre long range tank question. But...No problems with OEM tanks here. $1400 vs $633.65? The biggest issue with steel tanks is ethanol and leaving the tank low for extended periods of time. Personally if I know I won't be driving a vehicle for a while I fill the tank with No Ethanol and not worry about it. Buying a long range/bigger tank would just cost more to keep it full when not driving it.

Thanks for the perspective. That mod is something for the "everything else is fixed, now what..." list. Not the "get it to solid baseline" list
