36x12.5x16.5 Goodyear Wrangler RT II military tires?

Anyone know about these tires? not sure if i can stuff them under 3" OME lift, but i might give it a try. I can pick a 90+ new set up for under $250. Any thoughts/recommendations?:confused:

If you go this route you should run H1's recentered. If your patient you can find similar deals on tires. (+ by the time you buy new rims you could have bought the tires you wanted and prob been cheaper. I personally would only run 16.5's on a offroad only rig with the H1's. And would run a more aggressive tire than those.
 
I am running 37x12.5x16.5 military tires on a 4 inch OME lift. No fender flares and they fit just fine. The 16.5 inch rim does suck real bad but I have another set to wheel with. These are just my DD tires since I have a very cheap source for them.
 
You can get inner pneumatic beadlocks.. Stauns are the most known company.. I posted inner air lock I think after reading a magazine write up on them.

Having operated a few military hummers on and off road I recomend avoiding the RTIIs they were replaced by the goodyear mts which are much better on the road and off.

The newest up armored hummers all come with MTRs now. But if you are looking for surplus deals you will find either the RTs or the MTs (not MTR) and between those I would run the MTs.. There are various tweeks that would be needed with either the 36 or 37 so look at threads like project ruby etc for them.

You can also just buy new steel wheels with the right offset and lug pattern from an aftermarket wheel mfg.. I have looked them up before.
 
Yes, stauns are your best route on a custom rim. The h1 rims are stout but HEAVY HEAVY. The old school 37" MT are a great tire, one of the best made IMO for street and trail use. They have a super thick side wall so they handle great on a heavy lifted rig and the wear like iron!
