Anybody running Super Swamper's 34x9.50x15 TSL (or LTB)? I have stock springs with longer shackles. Wondering if they will fit.

Do a search. There's been LOTS of discussion about those tires.

recently, with pics.

Will not fit. I have the 32.5 x 9.50's and they are perfect with 1" shackle lifts. 34's would be way too much tire for a shackle lift. Here's you a pic of the 32"s

Help me out here. What are 32.5 x 9.5's. I never heard of those.

Sorry. Listed as 32X9.50. They are actually larger than that in actual use.

they will fit............ I had them on my Fj40 for about a week with just a shackle lift before I put on my 4" lift

so they will fit but will rub like hell it you take if off pavement, or hit any big bumps on the road, I won't recommend them for a permament set-up at all

That said they are great with a 4" lift, no rubbing and are a killer offroad tire...........

OK, let me rephrase. Yes, they will "fit". 35's will probably fit too but they are not a good match with a shackle lift.

I'd stay away from the LTB's. Don't balance for s***...

They balance OK, but they thump thump thump for a while. Takes me back to a time when everyone had biases.....and admitted it.

Maybe the 9.5's. I ran the 13.5's and I'm tellin' ya, those tires flat out weren't worth a s***.

I had them shaved twice, had over 27 ounces tossed on to three of them, and even thought about getting to the golf ball/sand thing.....

Narrow tires balance easier maybe? Don't know.....I'm too young to be a 'pizza cutter'!!!! :D :D

I currently have 33 12.50 TSLs and before I put on the 4" lift they rubbed front and back pretty bad. Especially with the hard top on.

i was planning on 34x9.5's until a deal on five decent tread 33x9.5s came up...so they're on the 45 now...no lift at the moment. still waiting on the parabolic deal to come through,

Looks like they might rub a little, off road. :)

it's a long way from running...hopefully the parabolics will show up before then.

I have 32x9.5 TSL's on my '73 FJ40. They are actually taller and almost as wide as the BFG 33x10.5 AT's on my FJ62. They would fit a stock 40 with no rubbing no problem.

Boberino You have to trim your rear fenders at all?
Im soon to put on a 4" lift and was wanting to run 34x12.5 tsl also.

Peace
Neal

Thanks all for the input. I’m finally getting my rig back together after a frame swap due to rust. A lift is in the near future but I need tires before I can get it back on the road. In the end I would like to be running 33s or 34s w/ 3 or 4 inches of lift. But if I buy the tires and the lift at the same time my wife will probably kill me. So I was hoping to be able to buy the tires that I wanted even if I had to put up with some rubbing for a couple of months.

you probably don't have to trim the fenders since the tires are skinny and may tuck inside (all dependant on how flat your orig springs are). 4" will be plenty for 34s
