I would like to add 33x10.50x15 tires to my 70 Series Cruiser. Any recommendations
on a tire that is suitable for both highway and off road? I realize my choices are somewhat limited with 15" rims.
Thanks......

Think the only company that makes a 33x10.5x15 anymore is BFG, their T/A KO is the only real street/off-road friendly one. Think they make it in their KM2 as well

General now makes the Grabber in 33x10.50x15 too.

I've got this size in the BFG KM2 on my 40. The contact patch is pretty narrow but the tire works awesome aired down to 15psi in our NC clay and rocks. They self clean the mud out really well. They're more likely to break loose on pavement in the first hour or so of rain than anything else I've had but I'm also pushing them with a lot more HP than your 70 has (ie: I won't let the wife drive it with her lead foot in the rain). I'll seriously consider them in 315 or 35" when the 80 needs new rubber.

Mine are mounted on 15x8 rims.

.... "also pushing them with a lot more HP than your 70 has" ......

I'll have you know my 70 Series can go from zero to sixty in ............ well it can go sixty. :D
I actually looked at the KM2 today and will seriously consider that tire.

I am running these AT's on my BJ70. On road it fine. Off-road dry and aired down, they are fine. [@ CMCC2013, it was dry and the AT's seemed to have the best traction of the tires on the trails with me] Off-road in churned up mud, they become slicks with obvious results. I am not a fan of mud which I try to avoid, so this has worked out to be a reasonable compromise for me.
Also FYI, I bought mine on line and had the set delivered to local shop which still yielded a better price than what I could score otherwise. But the lead time for getting the tires was longer.
Good luck

I'm planning on that size in a KM2 when I need them, currently have 31-10.5-15 ATs on 15x8 stock steel wheels. The KM2s have gotten great reviews.

The previous owner installed 30x9.50x15 BFG's but along with a 3" lift look like go-cart tires.

There are plenty of people who might want the 33x9.5's if they're still in decent shape...

Mine are 30x9.50 ( not 33's )
A lot of the plantations down here use older Jeeps for hunting and are constantly looking for good used tires that will fit a 15" rim so I have people lining up to take them off of my hands. :)

Yeah, I can't read. I get confused when people use letters and numbers in the same sentence.

To quote former president Bill Clinton ....... I feel your pain. :)

4Wheel Parts has a slightly better price on the MTs then Discount Tire, there's an outlet in Tampa I think

EDIT nevermind you don't live in Tampa

Several major brands have already dropped that tire size.

guy in Hot Springs Arkansas has a set of 5 BFG's for sale in 33 10.50 15 in the classified threads. I was looking at them for my FJ40 but I am not sure they will fit without a lift, especially in the back

My local tire store actually wants to buy my existing BFG's. ( 30x9.50x15 ) which will offset the cost of new tires. They have a huge demand for good used tires especially among the "hunting Jeep" crowd. :)

Nice, I should look into that around here

Most of the plantations ( quail hunting operations ) use older CJ7's and a few CJ5's and are constantly looking for good used tires.
