33x10.50x15
I would like to add 33x10.50x15 tires to my 70 Series Cruiser. Any recommendations
on a tire that is suitable for both highway and off road? I realize my choices are somewhat limited with 15" rims.
Thanks......
Interco SS M16 in 33x10.5x15 on OEM wheels.

They ride nice on the road and are a little louder than BFG ATs. I have not had them off road yet. They look like they would be good in most situations except deep mud or ice.

Robustbambi from the 60 section had some 34 Intercos on his parts truck, and he mentioned them being pretty bad, although quite bald and old.

Decided to go this route.......
33x10.50x15 BF Goodrich KM2's. :)

Nice looks great!

Thanks .......
The tire is a better match to the 3" lift.

The aggressive thread pattern requires you to turn the radio volume up a little louder. :)

who actually had that tire in stock? (specific size & brand)

I dealt with a retail store and don't know what wholesaler he used. I can probably find out if you like.

I'm good...I'm going to 35's soon. I searched the world for that tire in that size more than a few times...always on back-order or who knows when we will get it.

I talked to the retailer yesterday and he said he could have multiple sets in stock overnight. ....... Go figure.

I currently run 285/75-16 BFG km2 on my daily driver. One tire was bad and was replaced by the dealer and they have been on my truck for 5 years and 80,000 miles. In the snow, mud, sand they are awesome. In the wet on the road not bad. The road noise is low for such an aggressive tread. I have found they do wear unevenly and tend to produce flat spots. I live in Vegas with extreme heat and lots of rocks and these tires are killer.

They do produce more noise than the less aggressive tires that were previously on the Cruiser however noise on a diesel Land Cruiser is a relative term. :)

I am still amazed at the difference in acceleration between a 30" tire and a 33" tire.
Can't imagine the difference when you jump up to 37".

In a good or bad way?

Famous words: "Land Cruiser don't really accelerate, they sort of gather speed."

I guessed that would be the case, they are probably a lot heavier then the 30 inch tires.

They had decent pricing on bfg ta kos online at summit. I think the km2 were ok too. Not sure if prices went up.

I think basically you are moving a "lot more rubber" and some smart guy (not me) could come with a formula to demonstrate this concept. :)
