I have a lead on a set of these and I need to know if they will fit under my BJ60 with a 2 1/2" lift without rubbing or cutting. Does anyone know? They'd be mounted on a set of 16"x8" rims, not sure of the backspacing (the rims are in Guatemala and I'm up in Canada so no checking before I get back).

not likely without more lift. You'd need shackle or body lift to avoid rub on the street from what i've read.

I am hoping to go to 315's myself, and if you read up on trapper's rig you can see what lift he has to run 35's (same as 315's).

which lift do you have? what's the clearance on your 32's now?

GL!

32"'s do not rub on stock rims. BFG 33"x12.5"x15" muds on stock rims did rub when articulated but not on the street. I think the BFG's would have been fine on wider rims.

I have the 2 1/2" BDS lift with stock shackle lengths.

You and I are both on the same lift then! My skinny 33's have plenty of room even stuffed at full flex, but they are only 9.5" wide...

I have some extended shackles so am at about 3" of lift. Your is pretty stiff right? (mine definitely is! and 2-3 y/o so not new).

I am looking at maybe some longer shackles, plus a minor body lift, or new springs to fit 35's (315's).

someone will chime in with more info i'm sure.

I have a set of Goodyear Wranglers 315/75/16 that are sitting in the back of my truck waiting to get put on. I will be finding out most likely tomorrow if everything fits ok. I already have a feeling it will be fine on the street but more than likely not on the trail.

What rim width will they go on? Let us know whether it works or not.

I think I just finished adjusting for 35x12.5's to fit on my 60. 33's were never an issue, mild rubbing when stuffed but that was about it. 35's were a different story, rubbed bad everywhere.

I've OME heavy/heavy, when I first tried 35's they rubbed badly on the front of the wheelwell. This time I have a SR so they rubbed on the back. A BFH on the wheelwell liner looks like it took care of the rubbing.

Pics of your setup again FR? sweet truck! Love the 5sp and round eyes on a 62!

Thanks Rob, I'm loving this truck more all the time. The 35's are a great addition and worth making fit. Nice difference on and off the road. A friend made some skid/skip plates leading up to the shackle reversal but haven't had the opportunity to test them yet.

I don't have a front bumper by Jim though my back is. Both have been through so many changes it's absurd. I think Jim cringes every time I pull in to his driveway and asks "What now Chris?"

Let's see the pics of that front bumper, I followed the build and would love to see it mounted. I haven't seen Jim for a while so didn't get to see it after its initial stages.

Very cool leaf spring protection front range. Interesting bumper.

The bumper falls into the 'utilitarian' category Randy. Bought it used here on 'Mud, it once had tubes that were atrocious, cut them off and Jim modified for the winch and top bar, then had someone add the front winch protection. Last I raised it a couple inches for approach angle and then my friend added the 'ramps'

I'd love to see it mounted too! I'm torn down prepping for paint, so no time soon. But here it is on some saw horses, with the lights loosely set in/on it. The fogs will use the amber covers (not on them now), and i have the combi filter for the main lights as well (again not on them here).

Looks Great FR! where does the front tire hit and what did you have to knock down to get it to stop rubbing? How wide are your rims? 15" or 16"? Shackle angle looks like ? I know my BDS lift is still really stiff and isn't new, how's your OME ride with the extra weight (bumper, winch, sliders etc)?

what gearing are you using - still stock 3Fe?

Wow, that is nice! Get to work and get it mounted!

The rubbing was on the back of the wheel well towards the bottom. The inner liner bulges out about an inch or so and once it was coerced to be level with the surrounding area my tires cleared. The only thing that still rubbed were the sliders which needed about 1.5-2" cut off. The tires are 35x12.5x15, the rear shackle angle isn't as vertical as it appears and the front is good after moving the rear hangar forward an inch. The ride is fine with OME's and additional weight, it rides like a truck. Yes, stock 3FE & 4:11's when combined with 35's and the H55F is very nice combination.

cruiser_guy, my apologies for a total hijack of your thread.
