Just ordered a denso injector kit for my lj78 and was curious if anybody on here has any info on them. Wondering how much pressure they can handle and if they are reliable.

Thanks,

Ian

If you bought for the right application I think they're identical to the Toyota ones. I believe Toyota gets theirs from Denso?

Did you just buy nozzles, or complete injectors?

Pressure needs to match your injection pump. So hopefully you got the right ones....

I bought a whole injection kit complete with 4 injectors and the proper grommets to ensure they fit. It said on the package they are set to match the pressure of the OEM injection pump, guess i'll have to find out when they arrive.

You should be just fine then. Although the early injectors (pre 1990) are different than the later injectors (1990 and after)....so hopefully no one screwed up there...

I live near a huge Denso manufacturing plant. Lots of people around here work there making those parts.
That's some 'high quality H2O'! (If youre an Adam Sandler fan)
They actually make lots of parts for numerous different manufacturers and the quality is dependent on what the manufacuter's quality control inspectors demand.
the folks on the Honda line have VERY high standards to meet and reject anything 2nd rate.
Toyota parts are in line with Honda as you might expect.
Sadly, not all of the manufacturers QA demand such high standards....

I brought some off eBay for 2lte and I can’t get any good power . Would never buy Chinese injectors again I don’t know if it’s different spec or just something I installed wrong bleed it 5 times tryed all different settings on spill valve and map sensor still can’t get same power as before with original injectors I was getting 22lb boost With rich afr before not sure what went wrong might have to get exchange rebuilt ones .
cheers Joseph

I lost power when I bought brand-new Toyota injectors too. I think it's because worn out injectors open at a lower pressure, so injector more fuel (open longer). I used to get around 20psi max; now it's about 17psi. Although as they're getting older I seem to be gaining a bit of power back.

Just found this thread a couple years later. Do you remember where you got the injection kit from? How did it work out for you?
