I've searched high and low for these "short" hoses for the 2L-TII / 2L-TE without any luck.

If anyone knows a "work-around" solution and diameters, please post.

(4) Hoses above the Injection Pump.

(2) Hoses above the Crank Pulley.

Thanks!

I replaced a couple of the same hoses on my LN106 Hilux with the 3L, I got them from https://back40imports.com. Give Dave a call and see if he can rustle some up for you.

@AirheadNut , thanks for that lead!
It looks like Toyota re-designed that area with regard to hose philosophy for the 3L. The (4) stubby hoses on my 2L-TII are now (2) "U" shaped hoses that run from the "Union" & Thermostat Housing. Part# 87245-89279 & 87245-89280. Thanks again.

The Coolant Hoses in question finally arrived. The (2) hockey stick shaped hoses above the Crank Pulley fit exactly from the 3L.
#87245-89281 - Upper Water Hose (shorter)
#27245-89282 - Lower Water Hose (longer)

Above the (2) Hockey Stick Hoses, is Turbo Water Hose #1 - #16284-54020

The manifold above the crank pulley that connects all the little together is "Water Pipe Sub-Assy" # 87208-89144
Water Pipe Sub Assembly "A" - are the longer water pipes above the Exhaust Manifold # 87208-89143

However, the rest of the hoses are a NO GO.
I just did a work around... we shall see how long it lasts, but the smaller (4) smaller hoses on the thermostat side of the engine cannot be adapted from the 3L. #87245-89279 & #87245-89280

I thought it would be a matter of just cutting them to size/length, but it didn't work out. There would have been some "kinks" in this solution / or too short. Best solution, just get some 5/8" Heater Hose from the local parts store. I was trying to stay Toyota with this, but it just didn't work out this time.

The Heater side/ Turbo side of this water manifold is 17mm and the Thermostat side / Intake side is 19mm, if that makes any sense.

On the parts diagram, it appears the upper hose coming from the thermostat connects to the upper section of the Injection Pump.
And the Lower Hose coming from the Heater Hose Union closer to the to the Injection Pump connects to the lower section of the Injection Pump.

However in the way these factory hoses are formed/moulded, it would indicate otherwise..
Just a heads-up, not sure if I did it backwards. I copied the manner / layout the way I received it.
If I did this backwards, someone please let me know.

Factory clamps to newer stuff. I'm curious if anyone has had any success in re-wrapping one of these factory clamps...

Wow, that a lot of nice work @Dprio34 !! I've only ever replace my main upper/lower rad hoses and that's it. I've looked at all the rest many times thinking "I really should replace those". Blow outs always happen at the most inopportune times. Thanks for all the R&D you're doing here figuring out various options.

Thanks at @GTSSportCoupe , I've been looking for the correct hoses for a while. They were always out of stock or unavailable. @AirheadNut , provided a great lead for the "hockey stick" shaped hoses above the crank. The "short" 5/8 inch ID hoses were really starting to seep coolant, so I had to pull the trigger on this project prior to hitting the road again. The (2) Injection Pump hoses were starting to swell as well, but were not leaking yet, but I just wanted to do everything at once. I'll put together a consolidated parts lists as soon as do the road test.

I'll definitely be using your parts list as I replace hoses on mine!

Sort of a bit of an aside, but here are a couple thoughts that have come to mind as I think about all these hoses:

I think the injector pump ones run to the ACSD mechanism. It's a cold start timing advance system. Some people with other similar vintage toyota mechanical injection rotary pumps (HDJ81 guys) remove the whole ACSD unit and install a blanking plate. This would mean the hose could just be doubled back; and not require any flow. They do this because the ACSD actuator can start wearing and filling the injection pump with metal bits. I haven't heard of it being an issue on the 2LT-II specifically; but might be worth some thought/research. Would make the hose simpler anyhow (just loop it - fine if kinked and not flowing).

When I removed my throttle plate in the throttle body, I also disconnected and removed the coolant lines running to the throttle body. I figured there was no point in heating the air entering the engine. The whole point of my intercooler is to cool the air! In fact, with turbo, the air should always be pretty hot except when the motor first starts. Anyhow, another hose that I've always thought was redundant. Just more food for thought/research.

@GTSSportCoupe , Thanks for the heads up on the ACSD mechanism. I knew it was for cold weather Ops which really isn't an issue for me at the moment, but I hadn't heard of the issues with this system. Good to know, and thanks for the heads up. I just had the Injection Pump rebuilt... so hopefully I get a few more years out of ACSD without issues. But good to hear there is a somewhat easy solution. I'll definitely keep an eye on it.

Edit: Good Link for Blanking OFF ACSD: ACSD - Blanking plate part number - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/acsd-blanking-plate-part-number.634271/

I forgot you had your pump rebuilt. You probably have nothing to worry about then. Here was a thread on the topic if you're curious tho: ACSD Delete Question - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/acsd-delete-question.984036/

Regarding Injection Pump Rebuilds.... I paid $800 just 10 months ago to rebuild mine. At the time I thought that was high. A friend of mine just paid $1500 in the SF Bay Area. I could not believe it. Anyway, above the injection pump there is some type of “equalizer” hose between the upper and lower units. This is 3/8” coolant hose. New stock clamps didn’t want to sqeeze this hose as tight as I would have liked, so a Nissan or Ford clamp had to do.

The last (2) sections of Coolant Hose coming from the rear of the "Water Heater Pipe Sub-Assembly A" to the "Water Heater Valve Assembly" and Heater core on the firewall are called Water Heater Hose, Inlet "A" & Water Heater Hose Outlet "A" for a Pre-1990 LJ70. These hoses are listed under the ELECTRICAL Group / Heating & Air-conditioning Water Piping. These hoses and valves "Pre-1990" are all discontinued best I can tell. I'd like to have a brand new "Water Heater Valve Assy" as mine is starting to show its age. Nonetheless, since I have a 2L-TII in a pre-1990 body, none of these discontinued hoses would work for me.

I'm gonna gonna roll the dice again with the LN106/3L hoses. Strangely enough the hose I think will work is "Water Heater Hose Inlet C" not "Inlet A" We shall see how it works out. I'm gonna go with Hose# 87245-89240.

Turbo Water Hoses #2 & Turbo Hose #3 are also still available new. Although 3/8” would also work in an emergency for either.
Turbo Water Hose #2 is the long one in front of the timing cover #16284-54020.
Turbo Water Hose #3 is the short hose closest to the turbo 16286-54020.
