Due to my negligence in freeze plug installation which resulted in filling my rebuilt 2F with coolant I am once again going to prime my oiling system. Yesterday I was messing with it and noticed something odd, but I'm not sure if it's normal. I have the oil pan, head, and side cover off, and I filled the bottom of a cut off milk jug with 20W50 and put it up under the sump. When I spin the oil pump with a drill it sucks the oil in, but then shoots oil towards the radiator, and also towards the flywheel. I realize there probably aren't a lot of people who have tried this, but is that normal? I was just trying to force any coolant out of it, which I was probably successful in doing, but it made quite a mess. I turned the crank a few times, but it seemed to do this in every position.

Thanks. So it's normal and I didn't kill it sucking up antifreeze? I suppose it would spray oil on the crank and splash it around as the crank turns too.
