OK. So my 1976 FJ40 had a chevy 350 and I am returning it back to stock and putting in a 2F from a 1987 FJ60. Since I did not to the chevy conversion and pull the old 2F out i do not know what the engine frame brackets should look like. I recently purchased 2 sets from MUD members and they are both a little different. I think I have a handle on the front 2 but the 2 brackets that attach to the 2F bellhousing have me stumped. Could someone please help identify which 4 brackets out of the 10 that i bought are the correct ones. Thanks in advance

The first two pictures show an earlier right rear with the stud used for the transfer case dash mounted high low shifter. The stud was used as a pivot point. I will always remember that one. Shortly after buying my 68 I noticed that stud was not threaded all the way in a threaded section was bent. I carefully threaded is tight. First time I used low range the thread broke and transfer slipped into neutral going down a steep hill. o_O

AHHHHH. Thanks those pics are amazing. Is your clutch slave cylinder on the drivers or passenger side? Living in the Past, always great to get a response from you. Thank you for all of your knowledge and dedication to this site and helping members out.

It's easier to catch things that you yourself have screwed up (been there, down that!)

New springs are still available for 7408 - 8007. About $10 list.
