Cleaned up the rocker assembly, and did the "chevy orange air cleaner'' delete mod. No clue why one would do that, but hey, it's mine now!

I was just about to ask about that oil galley plug fix, as I'm about to do the same.

What does it mean to stake a plug or fitting? Does it mean using a punch or drift to make it so that said plug won't work itself out / be easily removed? I'm running into a "staked" plug in my carb rebuild, currently, and am trying to learn more.

Yes. Using said punch or drift to move enough metal from the surrounding stationary (head, in this case) into the part you don't want to move or vibrate loose. To interfere with it's ability to come loose.
