the early version up to and including 1980 would be drilled and tapped for the bellhousing mounts
1981-1984 or 85 would not be drilled and tapped for the bellhousing mounts
the inspection cover is almost the same, there is 1 bolt in a different place

Also the 40 one allow you to mount the clutch arm on either side. The 60 main hole is there but not one drilled for the pivot

Do you have the one from an 85-up? The one that clocks the tranny at a slight angle?
