I have been scanning the many tire size threads, but can’t seem to find any pics of an 80 series with a 2.5 lift and 265/75/15. Please post a pic if you have that set up. I have a 92 running 33/12.5/15s. Looks good, but I’m thinking the the smaller tire would have better on road perf (it’s a dd). I also like a skinnier look. Thanks!

Here's 265/75/16, so imagine this but one inch smaller?

At that point I had 851 front and 863 rear, so 2" front and 3" rear approximately.

You should also look at 31x10.5x15. Pretty much the same dimensions as 265/75/15 (just a hair bigger), just a more common size designation.

:edit: I bet if you google "31x10.5x15 fj80" you'll find some good pics.

This is the best lift/tire combo. Its stock but better. Just throw springs in, drop blocks for front sway, tires on, and go.

Will do! Thanks

Looks good, though with the 15 inch rims mine would be smaller, right? Almost thinking I’d need to lower it, if they were smaller

Why lift it for stock sized tires? That one only looked like that for a few hours, went to the tire store when we finished the lift.

It’s already lifted w/ 33s. Looks great, though performance definitely feels affected (as compared to a stock 91 I Had for years). So trying to a determine is there is a smaller tire that would still look ok with the lift, but give me better performance. I do like a bit more of a stockish look, too. It will go off-road, but no more than 5 - 10% of the time (and that petty mild). As a dd, though, I have a very short commute.
