Wow...the bids went up by $1000 in 5 minutes...and there is still more than 5 days to go !!!:eek:

It is a really nice looking cruiser!!!

Interesting that the frame number is a "9-" indicating a 1959 build and the model year is a 1961...what happened to 1960?

I remember seeing it on either classiccar trader or craigslist. It's out there on the nm tx border.

IMHO, I bet it won't meet the reserve

Well, that's NM. A couple of rigs like that have eluded me. Keep wanting this 63 FJ45 I see sitting all the time...have run into all sorts of stuff, Nissan Patrols, lots of 40's, the I forget what they call [stout?] it Pickup with the mid/early 40 style turn signals on the hood...you could almost spend a vacation just driving the back roads looking especially with the good metal. Oh to be rich.

it was on there last may when I was looking for an early 40 or 25.... and if I remember correctly they were asking something like 10k for it

bent exhaust pipe rollbar is a bit odd, but otherwise, pretty sweet.

no Shane, 25's have 4 speeds with a granny first and no low range.

So lets pick it apart on what its missing or not original:

1. glass bowl fuel filter
2. hand primer fuel pump
3. split hood and chrome strip/t bird
4. apron emblems
5. '59 wouldnt have had electric wipers
6. passenger bench seat
7. tire carrer w. spare
8. hub caps (I think I see clips)
9. scary "roll" bar
10. whatever carb is on there
11. clutch master
12. body reflectors
13. radiator hoses
14. ignition switch

Definitely '59 tho. valve cover vents to atmosphere, front motor mounts are off of the front of the engine, external advance dizzy.

I noticed that too. I also noticed the same thing on that Hawaiin find with the different style doors.

Like Wes said, I doubt it will make reserve.............unless hes's really decided to sell it. ;)

The VIN plate issue is common. Mine is a 1960 and is stamped 1962 in the Model space, yes it's really a '59 sold in '61. More curious is the FJ25LD don't think we ever came up with an explanation for why some have the suffixes and most are just FJ25L................

7 hrs left...and she's at $2125, and it looks like it could be driven right away...I would still make a go for it, but my :princess: would have new ciment shoes made for me in less than a week!

Who?

The highest bid was just under $4500, and it did not make his reserve price.
