I am looking to weld up a skid plate for my 94. Would anyone allow me to crawl under their rig and take some measurements of their set up?

@1994pd Wasn't sure if @2fpower still had the pattern or not but it is an awesome skid and you can take a peak at mine anytime before Wed next week when it leaves for Arkansas for several weeks.

@2fpower can I come buy and pick up the pattern and jig sometime this weekend? I will work up a skid in my shop at work next week in the evenings.

@cjmoon and @1994pd

I can take a picture of it for you tonight, to see if you like the design, then yes, you can come grab the templates. We found differences in drain plugs on different years, so we have always made the main section, bolted it on, then tacked the final "wings" on, marking where holes go.

If someone has access to a sheer that can do 1/4 plate, that makes this really easy to do.

The shop I am getting the steel from will bend it however I need them too. 1/4 " won't be an issue.

I can buy more than one set if someone else wants to weld one up.

@maxtorque will eventually need one, and I can weld it up for him. I've never actually seen @2fpower skid plate design. Anyone have photos ?

Edit : never mind, If its the same one that Kelly did for Foo, I just found a picture. That's a good looking skid.

Pics.

Helped Rob delete his ABS and LSPV last night. Brakes felt pretty amazing afterwards. Going to try and do this to Foo before Tuttle.

@Robkc how was test drive?

Pedal felt great. Could not lock up rears even with proportioning valve all the way open and on wet grass of field.

I’ve considered doing the same on my LX. Very interesting.

Hopefully I identified the correct line to the rears.....

I think the top one goes to the rear brakes and the bottom one goes to the actual proportioning valve both are on the left

Well we successfully bled some air out of the rear calipers and there isn't fluid spraying from the other line so that's OK.

Just realized that since it wasn't safe to drive after Flat Nasty I had not aired up. Will half to repeat the lockup test next week.

I finished my abs delete and replacement of rubber brake lines with slee stainless lines. Probably need to bleed it a few more times because the old fluid was nasty Will post up pictures in build thread once I take them.
