When you say driving around town, are they short cycle drives meaning the engine never really heats up? How many miles per year are you doing?
Depending on how you use the vehicle, 2 qts wouldn't really bother me. When the engine is cold, clearances are larger, allowing more oil to get past piston rings for example. This can be completely normal to a degree.

Huh I have 2016 with about 62K miles. I change oil every 5K. I have not noticed any oil loss over the 5K mile interval. My driving is mostly 12 mile or less trips 2 to 3 times a week with every 3rd to 4th week a 600 mile road trip with boat pull to go fishing. Once or twice a year a 1500 mile road trip. I live north of Austin. I been using synthetic 0w20 oil since I got the LC in 2018 with 14K miles on it.

How often do you change oil?
The book says we can go 10k, but I noticed a significant uptick in oil consumption when I went past 7500. I have a lot more miles than you do though.
