not sure about all the different option models you guys get over there but here the only thing you can pick is the color so I would guess maybe below GXR? so the mark up on our USA Land cruiser is much larger; not very nice of Toyota. I think someone posted figures for sales of the 200 series and I believe the LX is out selling the LC 2 or 3 to 1. The USA consumer is getting wiser. I'm not putting the Land Cruiser down just saying you can't price this vehicle in this class; either use better materials or lower the price. Back with the 100 series the difference between the LX and the LC was not that much; you can't say that now.

What engine does everyone think will go in the US spec 300 since I think it's a safe bet it'll get the same 8speed that's in the 2016...

Are the screens for the passengers in the backseat in the 2016 going to be removable? I have a feeling I'd scratch and smash them if left in place.

I am somewhat amazed at how little discussion there is of the 8 speed transmission in the LC. That is the attention-getter for me. Better throttle modulation? More gears that lock up? Do we have empirical data on reliability?

Cool that they are still doing the factory winch

believe it or not I bet its the "LAWYERS" toyota thinks they will hurt ourselves with the winch
That and the fact that the winch would defeat the mandatory 5mph crash bumper which is required to reduce the cost of collision repairs. Thank the insurance lobby for that.

Growing restless waiting for the updated 200. Went to Land Rover again today. Wife wants 200. Any idea when they will hit the lot in the states. Thought orders opened in August

I think I read somewhere December/january ish... Not even up on the toyota.com website yet!

I too am anxious to see a 2016 on the lot. The local Toyota dealer here won't even deal on the prices of the 2015's, yet. They have a Black, Grey and Pearl White 2015, 200 series that have been on the lot around 4 months. They won't budge off their "best published price" - $75,400.00 for the white one (sticker 82k) and did not even call me back with pricing on a 2016.

That's absurd.... Where do you live?

For info for potential buyers my guy here in jersey says he WILL have one in beginning of November! Now what color or interior he has no idea; but be prepared for steep price! no info on LX. My sales guy that purchased my 200 back said he had no info yet

I live in Beaverton, Oregon. Toyota said they wouldn't know the price on a 2016 until they ordered one and that they weren't going to order one until the 2015's were gone.

I guess they let the rookies answer the phone. I need to go over there and speak to them.

Holman Toyota in NJ is where I trekked to from VA to pick up my LC after negotiating entirely by email. They did a good deal and were super throughout -- they didn't know much about LCs, but none of the dealers do.

Want new Land Cruiser. Must have. Ugh ugh.

Idk, I get that MOST don't know a thing about cruisers, in fact, quite a few don't offer them. However, there are dealerships that have service reps that DO know about cruisers. There's a guy at my local Toyota service department that loves to talk cruisers....he does own GX470 though.

If you were talking about salesmen, I'm with ya. I just don't think it's fair to say that no dealerships know anything about cruisers.
