Will be interesting to see a 100 on the Rubicon. I know its been done before but that will take one ballsy driver. I would recommend ditching the rear license plate frame that contains the word "Jeep."

The Hundy is getting her rear done...
Air lockers getting installed at the moment.
We'll do a test run for a few times and if all goes well, she's going to Rubithon as well.
Thinking of taking her to loon lake entrance up to the turn before we get to the slabs... That should get her warmed up.

That's what they used to say about 80's when they where newer. Hundy body seems a bit wider compared to an 80 (which is already a tight squeeze), maybe it will get "narrowed" where necessary. As long as the IFS bits are up to the task it should do fine. Looking forward to seeing it in the springs.

Noted! That whole tail gate will probably be torn apart anyways... Lol...

She's going through some extensive PM after the lockers get tested his week... We've been scouring for trail spares as well. If all goes well, we will register the Hundy (unless the trail leader opposes)...

That is quite a line, he looks to have a ton of space between his 1/4' and that rock.
oh, he slid right down just as I clicked off the shot.
I loved watching his family hangout the windows and watching.

they got 18 inches of snow thru there this week...

Flew over it yesterday. Now we're talking about some fun times!!!!!! Even if the snow is mostly gone there will be plenty of water around. Can't wait.

Have a question for you all. I have run the rubicon several times but last time was 2010 and it has been awhile. My daughter and I are headed up tuesday to join the wagon run wed morning. We will be getting in tuesday night and I wanted to just camp somewhere (cop a squat). Is there a recommended location along the beginning of the trail? any good recommendations for a place to camp for the night? I remember the entrance has a big parking lot. Is camping alone the trail permitted?

Yes, I'd stay out of the Spillway though. You can also camp around the Chalet. During mid week, shouldn't be any issue. There is also the Northshore campground on the way in.

Icehouse resort offers cabins if you don't want to unpack. Food available as well. There info is on the Links tab of rubithon.com

soo....within the dotted lines only now?

I've been wanting to do this for years, and I originally thought I would build a 40 to do it, but now I am thinking of just doing it with my 100 as well. I'm currently on 33"s but may move to 35" for this run. I won't be able to make it this year, but am thinking either next year, or the year after.

Skeeters are going to be thick. Bring your bug spray.

Was it 2010 when we had those huge snow drifts on top of Cadillac?

Awesome. We had big thunderstorms come through yesterday afternoon, so I'm sure they got more rain/sleet/snow up on the trail. This is shaping up to be quite a year. It would be cool if there were not fire restrictions.

do they usually restrict campfires? wondering if I should bring my gas propane fire pit? that is considered a stove and can be used even if there are fire restrictions.
