Got unsubscribed, but still not the re-subscribe or an email... anything I need to do on my end or just wait it out?

I got both at about the same time, but no voting email.

Same for me. Unsub then subbed. But no poll.

Got unsubbed, subbed, but no poll.

Someone must have received the emails this morning, because I'm starting to get survey responses.

Sorry for the confusion. I'm using a free mailing list through our site that's not very responsive.

I have received nothing

I received a cancelation notice on one email account, then survey request on a totally different mail account. So I guess we are good.

You should. Your email is on the list, same as everyone else/.

I used the emails that are associated with your ONSC membership. If you'd like me to use a different email, PM me and I'll update it for you.

I"m rather new to this site, But is there any way each of the candidates can make a quick statement as to why I should vote for them?

Possibly a different thread?

I mean I could blindly vote based on who I know or don't know - or not vote for someone because they harped on my misfortune... ;) but with the membership coordinator specifically, I'd like to know what you plan on doing, and why I should vote for you.

This would be the venue, but typically they are voted in based on their enthusiasm in the club and engagement.

Understood.

In that case, I will be accepting bribes.... ;)

Seriously though, I don't generally vote for someone unless I know what their plan is. Otherwise, I'm taking post count and multiplying it by number of likes received or some other arbitrary measure.

John Vee for Secretary '16

Hello. My name is John and I'm the current ONSC Secretary/TLCA Representative. I've been part of ONSC for 4 years now, the last 2 in the Secretary position of the BOD. I enjoy giving back to the club and this BOD position allows it. Besides the regular duties of the job, I feel like the BOD members should also be the ones putting in the lion's share of the work to make our events successful (so members can relax), and I think I've contributed a lot to that. Cooking, cleaning, arriving early, departing late, errand running, writing chapter reports for Toyota Trails magazine (hopefully an article soon!), The Great Yeti Raffle of '15, recruiting members, securing vendors, organizing Charlotte meetings, trying to not teach your kids new words, blah, blah, blah. You know, all the behind the scenes-type stuff. I think I even managed to get in a trail run twice this year!

Two years isn't really a long time to see changes to events that only happen once a year and that's why I'm glad Johnny is running unopposed for President. I'd like the opportunity to help him implement some of the ideas we've discussed, and that members have suggested, to enable smoother happenings at our big events. While the loose feeling of events like Logan's Run make us stand out to other clubs, we've simply grown so large and attract so many non-members that I hope to introduce a little more organization, formality and speed to things like the check-in process and start-of-day. My goal will be to not have any of you complain that those changes are a hassle.

I still plan on helping out as much as they'll let me if the club chooses Alex for this position. New blood is good. I was the new guy last election but I'm not ready to leave yet.

I have been around my fair share of clubs, held office in several and know the amount of work involved to put even a basic meet together. John V is a great representative for our club, I read your articles John!
