So.... Did Trump win or what?

Vote for JohnV. Remember, it's a double deal that brings Sarah too. Two great people for anyone who knows them.

My speech: vote for Eric, I did (13 times) he is the man and truly passionate about Land Cruisers, has one from every decade. I would be happy to help him.

John Vee for Secretary '16

Hello. My name is John and I'm the current ONSC Secretary/TLCA Representative. I've been part of ONSC for 4 years now, the last 2 in the Secretary position of the BOD. I enjoy giving back to the club and this BOD position allows it. Besides the regular duties of the job, I feel like the BOD members should also be the ones putting in the lion's share of the work to make our events successful (so members can relax), and I think I've contributed a lot to that. Cooking, cleaning, arriving early, departing late, errand running, writing chapter reports for Toyota Trails magazine (hopefully an article soon!), The Great Yeti Raffle of '15, recruiting members, securing vendors, organizing Charlotte meetings, trying to not teach your kids new words, blah, blah, blah. You know, all the behind the scenes-type stuff. I think I even managed to get in a trail run twice this year!

Two years isn't really a long time to see changes to events that only happen once a year and that's why I'm glad Johnny is running unopposed for President. I'd like the opportunity to help him implement some of the ideas we've discussed, and that members have suggested, to enable smoother happenings at our big events. While the loose feeling of events like Logan's Run make us stand out to other clubs, we've simply grown so large and attract so many non-members that I hope to introduce a little more organization, formality and speed to things like the check-in process and start-of-day. My goal will be to not have any of you complain that those changes are a hassle.

I still plan on helping out as much as they'll let me if the club chooses Alex for this position. New blood is good. I was the new guy last election but I'm not ready to leave yet.

Do you offer back rubs?

Nice post @JohnVee I guess all that SuperPac $$$ is helping.

He doesn't have a SuperPac. He doesn't even have a backpack... he carries his articles under his arm like a professor between classes...

Alex Cortani
For Secretary 2016

It looks like I need to make this legit and actually do a “vote for me” write up. Alright…here goes nothing. I am Alex Cortani - the guy with the bone stock LX450. I’m running for Secretary of the ONSC.

I have never held a position at the ONSC before and I’m a fairly new member. A year ago I was promised excellent trucks and meetings with beer, I haven’t been let down yet. Since learning that the ONSC is family friendly, I’ve wanted to get more involved. I don’t have much to offer in the way of experience. The last officer position I held was as President of my college ad club. The role of secretary is different, but I think it’s something I can tackle. I’m good with efficient communication. I take good notes. I listen. All qualities of a good secretary.

Cruisers are my hobby and I want to make sure that this club remains a joy to hang out in and not a burden. I guess my main goal is to keep the club enjoyable and running well. I’ll be at the President’s disposal and help out where I’m needed. I’ll offer my expertise and advice wherever and whenever I can.

I’ll echo what John said in his write up earlier. Regardless of who becomes Secretary, I’ll still be as active as I can be with the club and help out where I’m needed. This is a great crew to be a part of regardless.

Thank you! And God bless you! And God bless the Old North State Cruisers,
Alex

Best of luck to all the candidates!

and furthermore, if elected, I will make sure we distribute the wealth of land cruisers throughout the state. All will be place in a pool for equal sharing.

Said the guy with one Land Cruiser

AND, furthermore, we will annex Chesnee SC into our state, including all LCs in any shape or form and related tools and shops under ONSC Eminent Domain Law

Now that's some good old fashion Socialist Latin Dictatorial rhetoric (or an excerpt from a Bernie Sanders speech).

To conclude this thread, as was announced at the Meet and Greet, winners of this year's election are:

President:
John Casale

Secretary/TLCA Representative:
John Vargosko

Membership Coordinator:
Eric Forrest

Congrats to the winners!!

I never got an email to vote???? I smell voter fraud and a rigged election. Recount, recount

lol

actually I found out what happened last night when I realized I never got one. I got the unsubscribe email on the email I use for ONSC and then for some reason got the other email sent to an old email Addy I don't really use all that often. Must have been the one that I used to sign up for ONSC 8 years ago. Strange though because all the emails from the last few years went to my new email.

whoops

no biggie, it turned out how I would have voted anyway

Congratus to the wieners! Okay, happy time is over, lets start complaining about the BOD not doing enough....
