Android Auto works now. The Zhifang GPS uses zlink5 ZLINK5 CarPlay | Android Auto [2025 ] - https://zlink5.com/ for Android Auto. Looks like the app was configured with Huawei Hicar as the default app. This was the cause of Android auto not getting initialized. Disabled Hicar from factory settings and viola Android Auto started working.

Support has asked the actual company for help regarding SIM Card and Emergency button. I've heard that factory amp might perform better with optical input. Need to investigate more on this.

You got it from Phoenix and its an Android 13 even though it says 11 on their website?

Yeah it is Android 13. I checked with Sergey Custom Rom and he mentioned that 13 can be rooted. I'll check with him whether he want so work on a custom ROM for this one.

There is one difference I see between Phoenix and EC Offroad units. Phoenix uses Z-Link and EC uses CarAuto for Carplay and Android Auto. EC Use to use Z-link

As of now I haven't followed up with them regarding remaining issues. Android auto working was great. I need to work on Camera. Audio is better if we use a better audio format.

One of the things they said about the rear camera not working is the 360 deg view may come enabled from the factory and needs to be disabled for the factory rear camera to work
