Curious if anyone have had radiator leak issues on 2014+ models? I’ve seen a few one off threads but wondering if this is a common issue?

Went out for a wash this morning and noticed a small leak in the garage - upon further inspection found the leak underneath.

Good timing for me as I’m taking it in tomorrow for a lift, but will have them inspect this as well. Thanks in advance for any insight.

The updated design was released around 2018. 2014 would have the old design that is prone to cracking on top. Hard to tell from your image where exactly the leak is coming from. Looks like near the bottom? If this is the Case try and determine the source. Could be a few different things.

It does not appear that there is any crack at the top, I think it could be leaking from the bottom - actually it seems pretty new, or newer; so perhaps it’s been replaced! Anyway, appreciate the response. I will have it checked out.

For reference, here is the old design (you can see the hairline crack on the right )

And here is the new, updated radiator. Note the much lower ridge.

Did you over fill the overflow bottle?

Take a look around the top. Even a weak spring on the rad cap can lead to overfill spilling.

My 2015 LX 570 (80,000 miles) has a similar leak or at least is wet in the same area, the top stamped area is not the issue and is not cracked. Currently I am loosing about a cup every 2 months.

I knew these trucks had issues with the radiators and starters so it was not a huge surprise. I will probably get it fixed in the next few weeks when I can get it to a shop and have the water pump replaced at the same time.

Did you get a better view of where the leak was coming from on yours while it was in the shop for the lift?

@animas forks - Is yours spraying from where the hose mounts to the radiator? Can you get a shot from the other angle?

Not the best picture. The crack was about 3/4” long when I found it. It hadn’t leaked yet, but it was guaranteed that it would. Given the mileage on my truck. I elected to take care of it before it went on the side of a mountain.
