Hey guys, I'm a new owner of an Ex Japan 200 and can't find a way to get the doors to automatically lock when driving. Any ideas of how I can access these settings?

To turn on the auto-lock feature:

-Close all doors
-Start Engine and Keep shifter in "P"
-Within 20 seconds of starting, do the following:
-Still in Park...PRESS AND HOLD the UN-LOCK button for 5 SECONDS and release.
(when successful, the lock will cycle on and off to confirm)

This will activate the auto-lock function when you shift out of P...unless your Japan version doesn't have this feature.

PS. There are many customizable functions. In your manual, go the index in back and look up customization Features. On that page, you will be directed to all the functions that can be customized...which are scattered throughout the manual.

Do you have a navigation system in your truck?

Yes, the OEM nav system

With your ignition ON, simply go to the Vehicle Customization screen and change the door lock settings to suit you.

Press the "Setup" button to get to this screen:

Then press the "Vehicle" tab on the screen to get to this screen:

After selecting "Vehicle Customization" select "Door Lock Settings" on this screen to set the door lock functions as you like them:

It may depend on what year. My nav doesn't have the same screens. My manual indicates the crazy steps I wrote down...and they work on my 2008...

The OP's avatar is a pic of the 2013-2015 LC front end, but OP has not shared what year they have.

I just hope the OP's NAV is not in Japanese language :cautious:

Let's see what OP says, eh?

I guess that makes me an idiot savant ... with the emphasis on "idiot"

The good news is the NAV screen shots are from my 2013 LC, so hopefully will work for the OP.

The Japanese nav system doesn't have that option under door lock settings (translated from Japanese with Google Translate). I'll continue trying @Markuson solution above, figured I may have been holding the unlock button longer.

In case anyone looking on has an older 200... This is where I found the method for mine...

Maybe you can help him find an option for switching the language to English. -Not that it's there...but it MIGHT be...

I highly doubt it, but, then, I was surprised that the Setup menu was in English ...

Yes, press the double down arrow on the left to show more possibilities.

If you take pics of the screens shown by scrolling down, I read Japanese and can tell you what they are.

The tire ninja speaks Japanese? How awesome! :ninja:
