Here are 3 pics from this link.....hmmm sort of fugly I think:frown:
Maybe if they look like what might be under the other pics with the covers it might be alright...
These 3 pics makes it look like a freeway grocery getter..hope the folks in the cities will like them as I suppose that makes up most of the buying market for these trucks..
Said to be offering a 4.0 litre and the 2.7 again maybe in a 4x4, high clearance, big round wheel openings, rear locker, center lock, minimize how much sheet metal width is from the windows to the rocker panels..seems like the fad is 4 feet of sheet metal here now, maybe some nice front and back clearance angles without a wack of plastic hanging below the headlights and taillights. Doesn't look like the options for front and rear bumpers is going to get better..hmmm where to hang the M8000? Better get some sliders on them units hope they end up being more than 6 inches off the road.
Sort of looks like a squared up 5/6 scale Sequioa. Back end almost looks like a chevy Tahoe

the rear looks a little like the FJ55. If it has as much head room as the fj cruiser I will be buying one. I would own the current series but at 6'4" its hard to see out the windshield.

Ugly Ugly. I hate it. 3rd generation looks good. I will not even consider a new one it does not look good at all. Toyota needs to figure out their styling

Looks good to me.:) Shamelessly copied from the post above. When URD produces a supercharger this will be a perfect ride.

It looks okay, but all things considered, I think the 80 and 100 series are better looking SUVs than the 2010 4Runner.

I think the 4runner, looks pretty good, you can definitely still see the resemblence to the last generation 4r. It looks much better then the Prado pics in the other thread, IMHO.

Looks like it may have more head room. I would buy a current generation with the V8 but at 6'4" the headliner is too low....can't see the stop lights. Is the Sport supposed to have a diff lock?

Well that looks sharp for cruising down the street... likely no ARB option for the front of that! Wonder how big of mud terrains will stuff in those wheel wells?

Based on the article posted it sounds like the only engine options will be a 4 and a 6....are they no longer offering the 8 for the 4Runner?

Having owned 5 4Runners myself, I dig the new one! I especially like the increase in headroom and think the new sheet metal is far better than the current 4th gen model. I like the "in your face" attitude it portrays. I certainly hope it has better seats than the 4th generation model. The seats in the 4th generation were some of the worst seats in any car I have ever owned.

Party mode...what a great idea!

No V8 option...not such a great idea! I sure hope Toyota brings the newer 4.6 offered in the Tundra to the 4Runner. I could care less about horsepower...torque is what I crave!!!
