This morning as I was taking my daughter to school I turned the heater on and realized after about 20 minutes that the air was blowing cold. I turned the temperature to the highest setting and that did not help. I read a few forums and decided to run the diagnose on the AC system. I got code 21, 24 and 33. I realize that the 21, 24 are due to me being in a dark place. But, code 33 is making me nervous. Does anyone know what it means? This is what I am getting for code 33: Air Outlet Door Position Sensor Circuit.

I also took out the glove compartment to check if the actuators were not working, but after testing through all settings everything looks to be opening and closing correctly. So I am not sure if this is a fuse or relay that is causing this issue.

(CODE 33: Air Outlet Door Position Sensor Circuit)

Any has heard of this? Or knows how to resolve it?? Thank you !

I asked because the rear vents DO NOT do heat, only AC.
Obviously that is not an answer as to why the front is not heating, which I am not sure why not.
I though you had an answer for me... lol it was a trick question! haha
This morning I noticed that when I revved up the car and pressed on the gas pedal, I could feel some warm air coming out but when the car is not moving the air is cold... Not sure what to do. I don't want to go dash out money at a mechanic as I don't have any trustworthy ones around here, I would rather try to fix it myself.

I'd suggest digging through the FSM and perform the diagnostic tests for that code. The FSM is huge but is very detailed - I use it all the time and it includes procedures to troubleshoot every system on the vehicle. I'd definitely start here and see if you can determine the source of the problem prior to going further.

If you do need to pull the dash to replace something, and you are mechanically inclined, the job is 100% DIY-able. It feels like a bigger job than it is; professional mechanics can do them on the order of 2-3 hours. You would want a helper when you physically pull the old dash and put in the new one. I did mine over Christmas break - with a bunch of other stuff too.

When mine stopped blowing heat, it was because the radiator leaked all the coolant out. They needed to replace the radiator. Easy to check coolant levels if you have not already done it. There were no other signs, just cold air
You are a life saver! I checked the overflow and it looked ok. I bought some coolant and to my surprise the radiator took more than 3/4 of the container. I then looked under the car and realized that there was some leaking near the radiator cap. I looked around and it looks like I have a nipple problem…lol the radiator overflow hose nipple broke and the coolant was leaking. I will need to go buy the parts to fix this as I don’t plan on changing the radiator until the summer.
