I have a 07 Tundra with the 4.7L. This has happened in the winter a couple of times, but now has happened twice in the last two days. This one has the bump start feature. It will crank and crank and crank but not catch. I'm thinking fuel pump (or relay). I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience and what resolution they arrived at. Thanks

You won't know until you hook up a fuel gauge, and even then, you could be fooled. I had a truck with the 5.7 that would crank for longer than normal. Another tech had replaced the fuel pump, Evap. canister, & even a fuel pump module but it still had the issue after a hot soak. I ended up finding excessive fuel in the exhaust (found with emission tester) when this happened, and replacing all 8 fuel injectors solved the issue.

The long cranking issue could be a few different things, might be an issue with the fuel, or potentially an issue with the ECU or kessy system.

Could very well be the transponder ecu. If you can scan it and ck fault codes I think it BP1247. Have to rpl and have all keys recoded to new one. Not uncommon at all.
