I’ve looked through all of the searched threads and didn’t find anything that answered my question. Is there a period correct wheel and tire combination for a 2006 tundra?

What do you mean exactly? Is there a specific wheel design that people most associate with 1st gens?
Yeah something like that. I saw there was a TRD wheel, Ivan Stewart?
Plus I’m trying to figure out if it’s easier to run a different backspace in order to run 285’s and some of the current wheels that are out there don’t fit the look of the 06.
I do like the fifteen52 tho!

My ‘01 has the Patrick Star Fish rims. They are not pretty but they are stock and hold air. The ‘80 series stick rims look good too; however, I could not fit 285 with my stock height without rubbing the front (no spacers in this picture). Rear is Patrick, front is ‘80 series. Also, look at the drivers side door jam, it will give you the recommended tire size and air pressure for road travel.

Tires and rims are a personal choice so there are many options out there. My next set will be the tall and skinny flavor To fill the wheel well.

I prefer to stay with the factory wheels, I have found the are of better quality, balance better and run true. In the 80s world guy's like to run these Tundra wheels as a 17" upgrade, on a 80 they need wheel spacers to fit.

I think they are better looking then the wheels we both have, there factory wheels and the is much more tire selection in the 17" size. They have a more modern look and if I were to change wheels I would go with these

If you change the back spacing it effects the scrub radius not a good thing on a daily driver Reg 🤷‍♂️
