abuck99,

Agree it's not a deal, but the lowest mile '06 on Autotrader tonight has 99k and is listed for 23,988 so the price isn't too bat s*** crazy. If you want a low mileage Cruiser, there aren't a bunch out there to choose from (15 listed, median price $20k with 134,000 miles) so there will be some premium.

OP, if this is the right truck for you, get the price as low as you can and jump on it.

Good luck

Well I bought it. Closed the deal last night. I checked it inside and out. This thing was perfect inside and out. Over 2 inch stack of all service history since day one. I am thrilled with it. Unfortunately it's not for me. It's the wife's DD. Told her marry Christmas and she turned to me and said this wasn't it and I better get something off her amazon wish list. Back to square one.

I'm pretty sure I've seen an ARB bumper on amazon :)

Then again, divorces are kinda expensive.

@manimal102 - congrats, it sounds like you got one hell of a truck, now just post up some pics!

@abuck99 - I'd have to respectfully disagree and say this is definitely listed below what it could be (at least here in the greater New England area. While it seems that used LC prices have taken a bit of a dive this past year, I still think a clean, extremely low mileage example would fetch a significant premium. That being said, the usual guides point to everything being closer to the listed price, but I can think of a number of instances where people REALLY pay up for the low mileage trucks that fall outside of the scrutiny of KBB, NADA, Edmunds etc (myself and my parents included).

But hey, I've been wrong before :)

I agree with Spaber05 that I think the price is right. I have been looking for a replacement 100 series for awhile and haven't seen anything with that mileage with any price close to that. I am in the northeast as well. So might be a different story out west.

I am patiently waiting for a deal like that but haven't seen one. So I am slowly pushing the wife to look at 200 series.

John

Looks like you get to drive it now while she gets something off the wish list....sounds like a fair trade  Now you need to make a wish list for it and tell her you need to get something off your wish list....

Congrats! I think that's a helluva deal.
Isn't it funny how we analyze these purchase prices like a bunch of forensic accountants... then as soon as we get'em home, dump thousands (!) of dollars on mods that we'll never recover... ;)

That is funny! I have been watching the prices as we had no real intentions of getting into a 100/470 until my DD got hit. Then we were really thinking these would be great for our family. I was not prepared as to how few there are on the market, how much value they hold, how many miles people put on these, etc...

Congratulations on an excellent value buy. It is difficult to find vehicles on the used market that are in excellent condition and have all receipts. The low volume on LC/LX makes the book values less precise; and when a low mileage well maintained 100 is available, it will get a lot of attention. With lower gas prices, full size SUVs are becoming more attractive and the excellent repair record for the 100 makes it attractive. Enjoy.
