Hi

I am looking at a 2006 lc with 68k with all maintenance done including water pump and timing belt. All service records dealer done. Asking $25900. Is this a deal? Or what is a good target purchase price?

Thanks

hows the interior, exterior and underbody? what part of the country is it located in and where did it live most of its life?

That sounds like a great deal. Why did they do the timing belt and water pump at 68k. That is a 90k service that most wait to 120k to do.

Jump on it. If it's the rare Garnet Pearl Metalic, pay them a $1,500 bonus. Seriously, that sounds like a solid deal.
It's classic pearl metallic with stone Leather. Only option it doesn't have is rear DVD player. So this would be a deal even at the asking price? Kbb is showing excellent condition at $22325. $25900 seems a little high. Thoughts?

Is it by chance at a dealer in Pleasanton close to the 580-680 interchange?

Steve

Maybe because Toyota's recommended service interval is "90,000 miles or 108 months"

Most would say you're better off without the rear seat DVD. If the body is straight, i'd be on it quickly.

@manimal102 KBB really does not refect the true street value of these things, esp the low mileage units. If u don't get it, please send me the link and I will !! ;)

I didn't know about 108 months. I guess that makes sense. They could rot from sitting.

You better grab it. I could not get over to look at it because of my work schedule. My wife wants it. Not many around with that few miles. My 100 only has 56K on it, but does not look that clean, because I wheel it.

Seems pretty fair - very low mileage, dealer service history, no accidents, and no rust. Good luck - let us know if you get it.

My book says 72 months - regardless, the recommended frequency is miles or calendar based.

You are correct. I was thinking timing belt, but looked up 90,000 service instead.
90,000 miles (or 108 months) for "90,000 mile service".
90,000 miles (or 72 months) for timing belt/water pump.

Well, a minor correction, we were both correct:

from 1998-2003, Toyota said "90,000 miles or 72 months"
2003 TLC 90K Service.webp

from 2004-2007, Toyota said "90,000 miles or 108 months"
2004 TLC 90K Service.webp

IMO not a "deal" for you, but certainly a "deal"for the seller. Are you buying private party or from a dealer? Clear car fax? Did you run the service history?

Sure theres a buyer for every car, but I think thats a very high price for an 06, even with those miles. Maybe closer to $20k would be more accurate FMV but we're creeping into winter and prices on any 4x4 go up. As some folks said- at that price, its got to be 10/10- not any flaws, with receipts or print out of its complete service history, and IMO that's a Unicorn.

Consider this; if you totaled it tomorrow- would your insurance co. replace or pay out anywhere close to that price? If you can confirm that with your agent beforehand, that will give you a clear idea of its value. Check Galves.com, you can buy a 7 day subscription for about $10 and that will give you the spot on trade and market ready value of what dealers trade for (at least in the Eastern US). With the exception of Galves and Hurst Black Book, most every other retail consumer valuation tool like KBB, Motortrend, Truecar are useless for accurately valuing cars.

What ever happens good luck.
