I just installed my 55w 4500k kit this weekend. It is very awesome. I need to get a good shot on a wall to check alignment and see the cut off. The driver's side seems to scatter some light around.
My ballasts are kinda ghetto rigged in there right now. I have a bunch of the 3m emblem glue left, anyone think it would be a bad idea to use that to secure my ballasts? Seems plenty strong and wouldn't transfer vibrations like being solidly bolted.

From what I have read, the 55 is more popular because it casts more light (20watts - not sure what this equates to in lumens) and is recommended to use the relay. The 35s are plug and play, in that they do not require the higher rated relay. So, if you have ordered the 35 watt units, you probably can use them as a direct replacement without adding the relay, but the relay is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does add complication (an additional relay) to the circuit.
Hope this helps LJ,
Jonathan
I needed the relay kit with my 35WOld thread but, is the 55w more popular than the 35w? I ordered up the 35w kit with a relay...just to be on the safe side, not sure if I need the relay for the 35w kit though
okay, using zip ties to secure my ballast was not smart, what are you guys doing to mount the ballast? It always rattles and I feel like its going to fall off. A specific mounting system would be nice so I can just bolt it in somewhere in the engine bay
Look on ebay. There is a link I posted earlier in this thread to the ones I purchased. I mounted them behind the side markers in the finder well.
