Hello --still looking for options on a replacement for my A343F transmission. Cannot find a re-man replacement for my L/C. There is a re-build kit that is OEM for that transmission, but, l cannot find a shop to rebuild it. Does anyone know if a transmission from another Toyota, ie Tundra, Tacoma etc would fit? Or, can someone come up with another option? My L/C only has 120,xxx , and l would like to keep it. Thanks in advance.

Have you now had two Hundys with failed trannys? You started another thread last year saying you had a tranny that failed at 162k miles, found a replacement and looking for cash. Now this one failing at 120k miles. Pretty stinkin rare to have just one tranny fail and certainly two.

Mine failed at 245K miles! clean fluid.. no symptoms.. just grenade due to a faulty OD roller bearings. I was driving 75-80 mph on TX hill country I-10 so constant 3rd to 4th (OD) shifts.

I got mine fully rebuilt at a shop in San Antonio TX (Mr. Transmission) $3800 out the door with a OEM rear main seal and a new torque converter. The rebuild is well worth as I now feel the power of a V8! Extremely responsive to the gas paddle.. get up and go in no time!

To get my situation straigntened out. My 2000 Land Cruiser has 162,xxx. The transmission failed about 18 months ago. It has been sitting in my driveway since then. I had found a company--Fraser engines and transmissions that had an A343F reman for $2500.00. But, by the time I was ready to place my order, it had been sold. I have recently located another reman transmission in Tampa with a 3 year warranty, so I plan to move on that one.
