I know some people successfully removed the fake wood trim. It's just a matter of using a heatgun and pulling on it little by little, then removing adhesive residue with something like "Rapid Remover" or "Goo Gone" or a similar product.

That’s another port installed aftermarket item. Heat gun and patience will remove. You can get new on EBay if you want to.
