great pics solo hey how is that roof rack? does it block your sunroof?

Roof rack is top quality and light too. It visually blocks about 1/2 of the sunroof in the front. We still open it and tilt it, but no more full sunlight streaming in.

Great photos soslo. Man these trucks look good dirty. Love the roof rack too; i'm thinking of getting the ARB Alloy. Glad to know the moonroof still functions with the rack installed. And for me, the rack blocking half the sunlight through the top would be a good thing.
The information may be out there somewhere, but i haven't been able to find it... How much would you say the alloy ARB rack weighs? Can you install/remove it by yourself?
Thanks, Jay

Hard to say on weight. 2 guys lift it easily over our heads to install it. Under 100 pounds.

Note: I've read that the capacity for the roof rack is ~250ish pounds total...which it total bs. I had 2 guys up there while loading gear without a budge. We loaded about 500 pounds on it and did the pins run which was 6 hours of freeway driving and 140 miles of rutted beach driving. Not a hint of strain.

Excellent info there, thanks. Want!

Alleghany Trail CA

Went out on a "5-hour" trail ride today. Impressive performance from the URJ200. Got me out of more than one scary situation. Here are a few pics, taken about halfway through, before things turned somewhat 'not fun' for a bit.

Click "upload" each time after adding a photo to the cue. Takes longer but should let you do all three at high resolution without timing out. I can usually upload 6-8mb pics individually, successfully. Mud of course automatically resizes to lower resolution.

Nice. I understand that crawl can almost get you out of sand up to axles. How deep where you?

we got in some stuff that was proly about a footish deep, crawl mode never skipped a beat... I gotta get some steep hill climbs in soon to truly test it out..

Be careful. CC should not to be relied on as a "Get out of jail free" card. 200's are big heavy pigs and have their limits.
As they say: Lockers and CC only let you get even more stuck.

But its a great idea and a heap of fun to discover the limits of the rig in a controlled environment. Be sure to have a back up plan or a buddy to pull you out. Better yet make sure you have a spade or a shovel for each of your kids and allow them to experience the joys of recovery while you direct excavation operations from the drivers seat. :)

I can assure you it does well on the hills! Made some believers out of quite a few FJ owners at the Jamboree.
