No need to be so obviously bitter.

Nice action shot by the way, Ross. :steer:

And Pete in Dubai, wheel arch extensions and those 35 look great. Happy dune hopping.

Some of the things I've seen people doing with there 200-Series in astounding! This is a $70,000 Landcruiser, this must be the Offroader for the Super rich?

I can't wait 20 years from now, I will be able to own one! lol....

Christmas Trip from Venezuela to Brazil, Peru, Ecuador & Colombia

Last Christmas we drove 11,200 Kms from Caracas to Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia.

The following photos were taken during the first few days in the infamous BR-319 in Brazil, known mainly by its large amounts of mud and many bridges in somewhat poor condition.

Boarding the first barge in the Amazon jungle.

The first night we slept next to a communications antenna of EMBRATEL, one of Brazil's most important communications companies. At least it provided a small clear area where we could stay more comfortably.

The border between Brazil and Peru. Cusco, our trip's destination is only 740 Kms away

So did you cross this one eventually? Would have been hoping for a good spotter and no sudden crosswinds for sure!!!

Yes. The bridge was crossed, as you correctly state, but not before a long hesitation period.

The story about the crossing of this bridge, and a few others, in Spanish as well as English, with more photos is here: http://tucanviajero.blogspot.com/2012/02/caracas-cusco-en-7-dias-parte-51.html

And the entire trip report, also in Spanish and English, starts here: http://tucanviajero.blogspot.com/2012/02/caracas-cusco-en-7-dias-parte-1.html

Good looking truck! What are those wheels and where did you get them?

Well, ****, because I can hit up 3 threads with one pic... . . had fun with some soap and a hose and the light seemed ok to snap a poser pic.

Nice shot Woody Creature. It just hit me that you have the same three that I now have. We have to get them all together somehow for a meet and great or recreate a Mexian Stand-off.

Here is my new to me 200. Just have not taken any real pictures yet. Slee Step Sliders going on tommorrow. Will have more pics.

^^
Saw that in the trader a couple of weeks ago. Congrats.

Thanks. Was able to work a deal. The ARB with fogs installed plus the new wheels and tires done nice (IMHO) with 44k miles was the sweet spot for me.

Looks truly sick Btuman.

Black. Looks so good all waxed up.......but so darn hard to keep looking good - as you will probably know given your LX470.

I assume with the front bar and sliders you'll be getting out into the boonies for some adventure touring/wheeling etc. If so, and if the clearcoat is still good you should seriously consider applying autoskin or a 3M clear skin to the body side panels.

Good luck and congrats.
