Holy cannoli did that camper move around a lot.

Last weekend the conditions in Moab were snowy and icy which made for some exciting and dramatic scenery and wheeling. I have a few videos of frozen river crossings, recovering stuck vehicles, a scary near-miss, landscape time lapses and more. I'll try to find some time to edit them into one video instead of shorter clips, but here are a couple. They're all shot on an Iphone in different orientations, so if you're looking on your phone the first looks better in portrait and the second in landscape mode.

Absolutely beautiful...can't wait to get the family out there next summer.

No doubt! The couple in the camper followed us into a pretty deep crossing and got hung up on their rear diff on a chunk of ice. We used our dynamic/snatch straps to pull them out, and then we hung out the rest of the day. The trail conditions got much worse as the sun started to set, and we had to use Maxtrax and snatch straps a few times later for 2 trucks (story to follow later). It was a good time, and we all had a blast and became friends. That's exactly what I like the most about wheeling!

What trail\trails were you doing?

Been lurking the forums for a few years now, Finally decided to make a post of the best thing that happened in 2020. I plan on holding off on major modifications for a few years but until then, I'd like to test the stock capabilities.

The videos are from Onion Creek which is usually a pretty mild trail with quite a few crossings of the same creek. Everything changes with several inches of snow and temps below freezing for a week or longer in canyons that don't get much sun, and the trail turned extremely icy in places with several deep crossings filled with ice chunks and steep entry/exit points. It was incredibly fun and challenging. This warning was published on Moab's website due to the conditions:

This creek crossing is totally benign and could be crossed by a Subaru in summer, but as you can see it was a little more challenging in these rare conditions. It was a blast as you can see from the big smile on my face 😆

Looking forward to seeing the video of that camper following you.

Got Black Betty out for her first romp in the snow. We'd missed the big storm by a couple days, so she didn't get much challenge hauling the family back and forth to the ski hill, but I snapped a few pics with her out of her Lonestar element for sh*ts and giggles.

A couple more pics and a little video of the fun from last weekend.

Never once seen an LC driver upset about someone snapping photos of their Cruiser...
I was taking a picture of some trash outside my office recently and some dude came up to me and said "you can't just take pictures of my truck" .... I said I wasn't. He went on and on and I finally just said it's a Fn public road and I can take pictures of anything I want including your face. I even showed him the trash pics but no let off the gas on that guy. I just turned and walked away .. and pointed at my office cameras that caught the entire thing on video. It's a complement folks! Nice truck bro.

Wow. Nuts. Honestly, that’s kind of a moron right there... Of course you can take pictures.

Finally got the rest of my parts in. Now just need to figure out when to install the lift.

Been drooling looking at this thread for a good couple of years. Was going to wait for the 300 and compare it to the 200 but that's a no go now. Just picked her up yesterday. She's a 2017. Drives awesome and that V8 is lovely! Will lift get some wheels and some proper tires.
