Sorry guys, but there are certain movie scenes that just "stick" with me.

Yeah I didn't want to say that to @bloc to pour more salt in your wounds

Will you be the worlds first double heart transplant 200?
That's a great question! What are the odds? Although, someone said Toyota planned for these engines to be "rebuilt" 3 times in their life cycle. Perhaps not replaced 3 times.....

;):p

I am going to link a new thread and morph this into "let's swap an engine into a 200 series" soon. (or something like that)

New engine swap link thread:

or so I read.....

FWIW - I did a 2016 Tundra engine swap on my 200 series 6 years ago, still running smooth, pretty much a plug an play, only difference is the Tundra engine/pan doesnt have a provision for the low oil sensor; I just jumped the connector; and havent had a problem since.

This is huge news. There are a few 200 owners here looking for donor engines but aren’t sure the Tundra engine would work. What year 200? Can you change the pan and install the 200 sensor? Where did you find the engine?

I'm linking @BajaCruiser94's older thread as this could be a game-changer for my current predicament:

Getting closer to closure on this......2021 purchase is pending.
"Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me
Other times I can barely see
Lately it occurs to me
What a long, strange trip it's been"

You gonna swap the ‘21 engine into your old rig?

Edit: I’ll see myself out

Verdict in:
Keeping the no-name fubar 2014.
With "help from God and true friends" I will tear it down and verify. And more than likely swap in a sub 80,000 mile Tundra engine.
Game on!

Hopefully you or whoever does the tundra swap can get some really good notes and photos for posterity, so others who end up in the same boat have reference material to work from.

I’m at 168k and so far so good, but all the head gasket, dropped valve, etc stories make me more nervous than I should be for a Land Cruiser

Hey guys,
If i do this I will try to get some data points and provide them. But as someone (dont remember who) already said, "a tundra engine will work already!"
