2.5 inch Ram's Horn Exahust on a 350

Just tried to install my ram horns and THEY DON'T FIT! There is a conflict with the steering box, which would require trimming a significant amount of metal from the exhaust manifolds.

Anyone have any suggestions?

FYI - I have a 400 sbc with an "old school" conversion. The p/o had headers just like above, which I removed last weekend...

move the engine to the passenger side enough to clear

grind a little from both

not sure what you mean by "old school"

Ram's Horn/400/Dual Exhaust

Ram's Horn will fit the 400 heads and 350 centerbolt heads. Centerbolt heads like the Vortec will fit SBC 55 and up. Ram Horns fit the vortec heads. Chevy don't change much.

Here is a picture of my dual exhaust on mine. Pipes run right down the frame rails into dual 40 series flowmasters.

The same guy must've converted both of our cruisers...

That's right... let's run the exhaust pipe right through the front spring.

And yes, this is dual exhaust... with rams horns. :D

My (single) rear exhaust exits out between the rear spring and frame. It could have been crushed with the stock shackels. I don't know if it is possible to deflect the spring enough to crush it with my longer shackels.
