I've come to the conclusion that a rear trans mount does not exist for my 1992 HZJ77 automatic.

Here's what it looks like:

Has anyone ever seen this mount? I can confirm that it is NOT any of the following mounts:
12371-58060
12371-58010
12371-58021
12371-61020
12371-61031
12371-17010
12371-68041

My closest guess is this mount: 12371-17080. The end edges are different.

12371-17020 is the correct part number and that's discontinued.

12371-17080 is for an R151F manual transmission but it might work. Buy one and see.

Thank you. Just ordered from UAE. I will update once it's in hand and I've got it (hopefully) installed.

I would look at 12371-17110 as a possible option.
After waiting almost a month, the 12371-17080 arrived. It is close, but off by 15mm.

I did look hard for 12371-17110. It shows as NLA everywhere, and I cannot even find a photo of it.

Hoping someone here has some clever advice before I break out the welder and start modifying these mounts to fit right.

OGB speakers the truth, you need a brand new r151 for that thang.

For anyone interested (i.e. all 8 people that own an automatic HZJ77), I finally resolved this.

Cruiser Outfitters (@cruiseroutfit) helped measure a bunch of their inventory. I'm grateful to them.

12371-58060 - does not fit
12371-58010 - Cruiser Outfitters measured no
12371-58021 - Cruiser Outfitters measured no
12371-58031 (EGM58030R) - Cruiser Outfitters (NLA)
12371-61020 - Cruiser Outfitters measured no
12371-61030 - Cruiser Outfitters measured no
12371-61031 - does not fit
12371-17010 - for manual HZJ77
12371-17020 - for automatic HZJ77 (NLA)

12371-17080 - close fit
12371-17110 - NLA
12371-67030 - does not fit
12371-68050 - does not fit
12371-68051 - maybe
12371-61041 (EGM61041R) - fits with offset

I found an old post from Kurt referencing the same issue.
' BJ74 engine mount - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/bj74-engine-mount.858487/page-2#post-11099841

Using that information, I tracked down a 12371-61041 (Cruiser Outfitters EGM61041R), and it fit great:

Had to oval out the cross-member points a bit, and it fit perfectly.

It's amazing what fresh mounts do on a 30yo truck. We fix them for customers all the time, but it's been awhile since I've swapped motor/trans mounts on my own vehicle. It's like driving a new car.

Glad you were able to find an option. Did you use the 68041R or the 61041R? That sure looks like the 61041R

You are 100% correct. I had a typo in my mega-mount spreadsheet. Fixed.

Thank you again. Cruiser Outfitters saved the day on this one.

That is dedication to solving a problem. Well done.

@Fishbulb I used this:

It's a Taiwanese (?) rubber company repro, and the 2 bolts that mount to transmission crossmember were not exactly correct, so I had to open up the mounting holes, but otherwise it was the only option I could find. I tried other Toyota part numbers but they would not work.

Bumping this as I’m in the same boat at the moment. Cruiser Parts sent me the MTM version labeled as the ATM so I’m looking at options now. This may have to do the trick.

Use the 61041. I detailed the mods to fit it here:

I'll be placing an order. I just received a package from ya'll earlier this week and I have another on the way already. Thank you for being a top notch/stand up company.

I ordered the NLA auto mount from Cruiser Parts as they advertised having it in stock and they sent the manual version. I just received an email back from them and they acknowledged that they sent the wrong part and they even acknowledged that they purposely sent the wrong part. Instead of giving me an option to return it they tell me to modify the cross member to make it work. I advised them if I was going that route I would have ordered 12371-61041. What a crap company.

Wow... it's almost like watching a train wreck in slow motion. What is odd, is they are purposefully wrecking the train.

Not all land cruiser owners are created equal. Too bad there isn't a mandatory personality integrity check prior to purchase.

Sorry for your loss, at least you were not buying a 14B and they purposely sent you a 3B and told you to just modify it and add a turbo.... 🤦‍♂️

Did that actually happen?

Not to my knowledge, I was adding a little hyperbolic perspective to help assuage the sting that @Fishbulb may be feeling after the nefarious dishonesty and underhanded tactics he experienced from a certain vendor.

Sorry, I can see how this could be taken as a report of an actual event. My apologies!

Fishbulb. That vendor did the same thing to me three weeks ago! Ordered the 17020 for ATM that they advertised. Got a 17010 with a 17020 label. Sent it back and they tried to tell me that it was correct. After three weeks of back and forth with the last 9 days being ignored, yesterday I requested a refund and ordered an aftermarket 61041 from elsewhere. We will see if the refund shows up. Stay away!! I really appreciate ATL Cruiser’s work to solve this problem. New to the forum and I look forward to collaborating with everyone here as I get my 77 the way I want it.

Sorry to hear. That is quite some crap. This was the last straw and I will never order from them again. I was never offered a refund either and they never acknowledged my request so I made a dispute via PayPal and I was reimbursed the next day. I didn’t even have to ship the wrong part back.

They can suck huge cucumbers from here on out.
