I've got an option on purchasing a 1HDT and asked the currect owner to get a compression test done.. the figures he supplied me are for cylinders 1 to 6 respectively in bar - 24,26,26,26,26,25. Do these figures seem respectable? In the morning I'll try call some local specialists but thought I might get a few opinions tonight from some fellow Mudders..

So it would equate to
1. 348 psi
2-5. 377 psi
6. 362psi

IIRC the minimum should be around 356psi with the standard around 498 psi.... I still learning things about the engine but isnt that a little low?

Do you know any other history on it?

Tested mine a while back, five at 450 & one at 430. don't know what that equates to in bar.

And while Im at it its five at 31 and one at 29.6 in BAR.

Cheers

Seems to be on the low side of things for that engine.
