Perhaps I misspoke. The item was/is available through the system, but were not in stock for a time.

New short blocks are awesome! Just make sure you order all the alignment pins/dowels and transfer everything over from your old engine. Also the oil orfice needs to be ordered and installed there is threads on this that @Beno has listed the parts necessary. Pics from previous threads with part numbers. I rebuild 1fzfe and sell them in long block form with all OEM parts from oil pan to valve cover.

Not sure how long these factory short blocks will be available. Hopefully a long time, but I certainly didn't want to take that chance and grabbed one. By the time the engine was torn down, doing troubleshooting, head gasket and/or re-bore, seemed like the ideal way to reset the clock...

I"m doing some research as it seems like I'm in need of a motor or a rebuild. Local machine shops are not working out as most have no idea about this motor or are scared of it. I have one machine shop that is knowledgeable and willing to do it but said not to call him to even schedule bringing it in for at least 6 months!
