Hey guys and gals, joined the forum some time ago but never properly introduced myself. Im currently in college and just trying to make the most of life!! I've crossed over from the Jeep Cult. A couple of months ago I made the decision to sell my Jeep because I needed more room for stuff and also because I couldn't really pull a trailer as well as I'd like. Being a college student, I wanted to get something that would last and take me whereever I wanted to go. Hence the 100 series.

Wrangler I sold off:

Anyways, I found this GEM of a LC just north of Nashville and once I sold the Jeep, we went and picked it up. It's a one-owner with 182,000 on the clock at the time of purchase (2/1/17) and I have all the service records that back to 2005 when Toyota started keeping computer records I guess? It belonged to an older lady that even took it to the dealership to get washed and waxed... Reason for selling was because her husband bought her a new 200 series a few years back and only put 10,000 miles on it in a 4 year period according to the service records. It had the 90K service performed at 90K obviously but is now due and REALLY needs to be done as it has 191K as of today (7/30/17) (yes I drive around ALOT). It also needed a muffler, front and rear brakes, new wheel bearings, basically the whole front end serviced.

I'm going to keep this a relatively budget-minded build as I'm on a college budget. I have about $2100 left from the money I got for my Jeep after paying for the Cruiser, so I'm buying what I think the cruiser NEEDS and then I'll figure out where to go from there.

Specs -
1999 LC
Rear Diff-Lock
182,000mi
Imperial Jade Mica Green (Or however you say it)

Mods so far -
Custom rear drawer build (I got a sweet coleman stove for Christmas and am saving for a fridge, so I want to build some sort of inset for the stove and a slide for the fridge on top).
285/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers
PFRAN Interior LED's
PFRAN CV axle clamps
Tint front windows to match rears along with windshield (local tint guy matched the broze relfective tint pretty darn good)
Pioneer Double Din Headunit w/backup camera (factory headunit obivously has no aux input and having hands free is nice)
LED Headlights and Fog lights (The factory halogens SUCK)
Also cranked the torsion bars.

I hope to take this rig out west this summer and explore more of the western part of my state (Arkansas).
Here's a picture from the day we picked it up. I had already taken the running boards off before I remembered to take a picture. Lol

Also am in the process of working on a little trailer to tag along behind the cruiser... originally designed it around my jeep but oh well:

Yesterday I took off the factory roof rack and replaced it with Gamviti's roof channel mounts. This made me want to just burn it to the ground. Every nut on the passenger side broke the welds and I had to take down the headliner to get to all of them. It's whatever though.
At some point I'm going to build a factory rack to go along with the mounts. Just couldn't stand to shell out $700+ for a rack when I have the resources to build my own. I'm also saving up for a fridge to sit atop the rear drawers and an awning. (Awning in the pics is my dads off his cruiser).

Very open to suggestions/tips. I'm hoping to tackle the timing belt replacement myself but who knows.
